Q:We are major movie fiends and thought we might create a short film compilation to play throughout the wedding reception dinner. We obviously want romance to be the theme. This can easily become cheesy, so how can we keep it simple and romantic?

A:
If you saw Cinema Paradiso, I bet you remember the final scene, when all of the forbidden kissing scenes were edited together. That might have been the most romantic 2 or 3 minutes of movie history! Why dona€?t you and your sweetie create your own compilation by picking short romantic scenes from your favorite films? Go for classic kissing scenes (you wona€?t want to make Grandma uncomfortable): Think Casablanca not Basic Instinct. Youa€?re sure to get your wedding guests in the mood for love!

men suit styles
Q:My friends are planning a wedding shower for me and have asked my mother and future mother-in-law for a bridal shower guest list. The problem is that we are having a small wedding, and my mom says that if you invite someone to the bridal shower you must also invite them to the wedding. Is that true?

A:

It's true -- you can't expect someone to come to your shower and give you a present if you're not planning to invite them to the wedding. It would seem like they were good enough to give you a shower gift but not good enough to celebrate with you on the big day. The shower is meant to be a party for the women closest to the bride (and often her mom and the groom's mom too). All these close female friends and relatives should also be invited to the wedding.

|
